Homeschool Evaluation
Colorado Homeschool Law says that "Students that are participating in a home school program must have academic progress evaluated in grades 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11... the assessments that home school students must take are either a nationally standardized achievement test or an evaluation of academic progress administered by a qualified person that the parent selects."

For students with certain learning disabilities, standardized tests are not always the best option for showing academic progress. I can conduct an evaluation in lieu of standardized testing to meet this state requirement. The process is simple and works best if we do the evaluation twice per year -- once in the fall, once in late spring -- so we can show progress made during that school year.
The Process
Step 1
Contact me via the contact form, phone, or email. Within 48 hours I'll reach out to you for a quick phone call when we can discuss the process of the evaluation.
Step 2
I email you a form in which you tell me all about the curricula, classes, projects, programs, and activities which qualify as part of your student's education. You'll also email me a few writing samples.
Step 3
After I go through the form and the writing samples, I may ask for more information or have some questions. Once I have everything I need, I make some comments and suggestions on the form and sign off -- it's ready for your records!
